It would probably be very vain and presumptuous of me to think (or write) that my little blog makes a big difference in the world.  But I do like to think that my blog might make a small difference somewhere out there; perhaps inspire someone to try something they’ve never tried before, or help them to cheer up when they are down, or perhaps even to enrage them into action if I spout off about something that I perceive is something bad!  Of course the action would hopefully be to correct the bad thing, and not to be doing anything bad themselves!
