Deviated septum
My girlfriend Cindy and I grew up together on the same block. We went through elementary, junior high and high school together. We double dated when our parents first started letting us double date. We were each others “maids/matrons of honor” at each other’s weddings. So I was very sad when she moved to Minnesota years ago to follow her hubby’s new job promotion. But, we manage to keep in touch and get together every couple of years.
Cindy sent me an email this morning that she is going to schedule herself to have a nose job. She has a deviated septum that has been causing her to have trouble all of her life and her ENT finally suggested that she have her septum straightened out. He has tried all kinds of nasal sprays, cortisone pills, allergy pills, and nothing has helped. Over the years her discomfort has increased and she is simply miserable all of the time now. She is very happy that after years of treatment and discussion he has finally referred her to a Minnesota rhinoplasty specialist, and she plans to call their office this morning to have an appointment.
Many people don’t realize how distressing a deviated septum can be. They can cause snoring, chronic sinusitis, constant sniffling, and frequent/constant sinus headaches. They also make your nose look crooked! So a rhinoplasty is a good idea for people who have troubles with deviated septums!
