Running over critters
I was reading someone else’s blog yesterday and noticed that she was upset that she had accidentally run over a snake, killing it. It made me think for a while about how many animals are run over by cars, and how so many people swerve to avoid squirrels; I wondered how many would swerve to avoide running over a snake versus how many would run over it on purpose, trying to kill it. I think that the vast majority of people hate snakes so much that they would run over it on purpose. I don’t like snakes myself, but I would not run over it on purpose.

I’d swerve for a squirrel, but not a snake! I’m scared of them! As far as I’m concerned, the only good snake is a dead snake!
