Happy Birthday Leap Year Babies!

I know of one new baby born this year on Leap Day. I don’t think she has a name yet, as her parents were surprised that she came a couple weeks early. Mom and daughter are doing OK – that’s the important part – and now she gets a special birthday date, too.

To the rest of the Leap Day birthday boys and girls, hope you enjoy your special day today, and that this year ahead is your best one, EVER!

Sister Shout Out

The three Musketeers.

The three ships of Columbus.

Three blind mice.

The three sisters from Vienna.

My sisters blog and we all have a blast reading up on each other’s days and keeping up with the family.

Just wanted to shout out to my sisters – you rock!

Insulating Pipes

I’m going to ask my hubby what he thinks about insulating our pipes to conserve energy.

Which Candidate Actually Represents Your Views?

I tend to ignore all the news stories about the candidates. who is bashing who and who is slinging mud at the other just does not interest me.

What I need to know is how do the candidates stand on certain key issues, like abortion rights and the problems we are facing with the invasion of illegal aliens.

Here is a site I like that gives the facts on how the candidates have voted previously on key issues and quotes from speeches they have made. Although the focus of the site is actually religion, the section on “Compare Candidates” is not slanted toward religious issues. I found it very helpful to get a better picture of who best represents my personal feelings on the issues of today and who deserves my vote.
