The saying about the month of March goes, “In like a lion, out like a lamb.”
Well, regardless of which groundhog said what, we have spring giving winter a real slugfest around here. Once day it is beautiful and warm with a light breeze. The next day it is bitter cold and stormy, with everything from snow to freezing rain to thunderstorms.
The ground has started to thaw and the spring flowers are poking through, especially daffodils – the little yellow trumpets are announcing spring in every neighborhood garden and every farmer’s field. The farmer’s supply sign announced that new potatoes and onion sets are in. Do you take the chance and plant now – or wait 2 more weeks to be sure it’s doesn’t freeze again?
I wold say this year it is in like a lion. I’m hoping the lamb truly follows.
