I’m friendly with a lady who is the publicity chairperson for the local Newcomers Club.  She has asked me to help her create a website for their club.  She is “technologically challenged” and she knows that I have a little bit of experience with the Internet, so she has come to me.  I guess since she is a newcomer to the area, she hasn’t met very many people who have more experience than me (which really shouldn’t be too hard to do!)

So, she has come over to my house with a huge stack of papers that has a lot of information she wants to put on her web page for her club, listing their meeting places and times, their activities, their “mission statement” and is hoping that I can help her organize it all into a great looking website.

So, the first step is finding out which web hosting service would best fit their needs.  I found a good website, http://www.webhostingchoice.com/ that will help us with that. That website has a guide to help us choose the right web host for her club’s needs.  

In addition to the guide, it has a page about web hosting resources for and about Webmasters that we might find helpful as we work on the web page.
