Looking for a place to live in Manhattan

Well, when our nephew “J” goes up to Manhattan to “check out” the internships and job opportunities, he will also be meeting with an agent that deals with Manhattan real estate properties.  I understand that his prospective employer will be setting him up with an appointment to meet with Prudential Douglas Elliman, which is New York’s Largest Real Estate Company.

I am sure that with their help, he will be able to find a great place to live close to where he will be working.  (Assuming he takes the internship/job!)  I heard that the company that is attempting to recruit him has agreed to help him with housing costs, although I’m not quite sure exactly what help they will be offering.

Rubbing elbows with the elite can pay off

I have a nephew that is going to Princeton University in New Jersey.  We are hoping that he will make lots of contacts with wealthy people to help him get a good paying job when he graduates!

Families in the 1960’s

I’m still thinking about my recently departed cousin “B.”

Thinking back on her life, I remember when I was very young, how hard she and her husband were trying to have a baby of there own.  Now I am talking about in the 1960’s mind you.  They were very sad because they were having a lot of trouble in that area.  They tried for years and years and years.  Finally they resorted to adoption because they finally gave up.

I wish, for their sake, that the technology that we have today, with advances in fertility and reproduction, that they could have gone to a center like the IVF 1 clinic, with Dr. Randy Morris to help them with their fertility issues.  The IVF 1 center specializes in vitro fertilization and PGD (pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) and is dedicated to helping couples deal with their fertility issues.

Dr. Randy Morris would have been able to help them with their fertility issues, and discussed their options, which possibly would have included IVF PGD.

Thinking about my family

I think about my family a lot.  We have a large extended family due to divorces, deaths, etc, so I have a lot to think about!

We recently lost a dear cousin “B” to complications due to diabetes.  She was very dear to me.  She was my father’s first cousin (I can’t remember if that means she is my second cousin or first cousin once removed.)   Oh well…..

As I said, she was dear to me.  I have a lot of family that I considered “boring” and the visits to them were “requirements” that we had to endure, but she was NOT one of the”boring” ones.  I will miss her dearly.
