Tough on watches

I don’t know why, but I’ve always been tough on watches.  People are always giving me watches as a present.  I’ll wear them, but within the week the watch is broken.  Sometimes I’ll forget I’m wearing it and go for a swim – ooops!  The watch wasn’t waterproof!  Sometimes I’ll be rough housing with the dogs, and suddenly the crystal is broken.  Sometimes I take the watch off of my wrist to safeguard it from something, and I end up dropping it.  Sometimes the thing simply stops.  Forever.  I’ll put in new batteries, but it still won’t run.  So…..  I finally thought I’d give up on wearing watches.

Today a friend told me about a watch that he thinks can survive being on my wrist.  It is a casio watch that is called a “G shock” watch. It is solar powered, so I don’t have to worry about batteries or winding it.  It is super tough and waterproof.

I always want to know what time it is – I think I’ll give one a try!

I like pizza

I like pizza a lot!  I love Hawaiin pizza, and I love meat-lovers pizzas.  I love mushroom and pepperoni pizza!  I love the soft crust of a pan-pizza.

I like to make pizza at home, using frozen bread dough (thawed) for the crust.  When we have enough money to splurge on a Restaurant’s pizza, my favorite pizza is from Pizza Hut.

Designer fabrics favorites

I love to sew, and I love fabrics.  Sometimes I find a fabric that I love and will buy a huge amount of it with no idea whatsoever I will use it for!  One of my favorite fabric websites is www.designdivafabrics.com.  They have the most beautiful discount Kravet fabric I’ve ever seen in my life!

I went to their site today and discovered that they are having a special promotion that sounds like a good way to save some money on your favorite fabric.  They are calling it their “Vote Up Count Down” sale.

You go to their website and register, and then you vote “up” on your favorite fabric.  You can vote on as many fabrics as you want to vote on.

The fabric that gets the most votes goes into a “count down” mode, where the price drops every second until someone buys it.  When that fabric is purchased, the fabric with the next most votes replaces it in the Count Down mode.

This sounds like a fun way to buy some designer fabric for a bargain price!  I’d like to encourage all of my readers that like fabric to register and participate in this sale!

Pressure on Clinton to drop out of presidential race

I would love to see Hillary Clinton become the president, but right now it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.  There sure seems to be a lot of pressure for her to drop out of the race!  If that happens, I will still vote the Democrat ticket because I generally agree with the social policies that the Democratic tickets endorse.

But, I sure do wish that Clinton would win the race!  Primarily because I like her health plan better than Obama’s health plan.
