I hate to wash windows!

I’ve never liked to wash windows.  They are hard to clean.  It seems that no matter what product I use, the windows never come out right.  I’ve tried using newspapers, or paper towels to wipe them with, and they still come out streaky.  I’ve tried to wash them on cloudy days, and they still come out streaky.  They are a huge pain in the neck to wash!

I especially hate washing windows because one day, when I was 17 years old, my step-mother was in a hateful mood and decided to make me wash a huge picture window in her living room.  It was a bright, hot, sunny day and the sun was beating on that window.  I told her that I should wait until the sun wasn’t shining on that window, but she didn’t care, she made me wash it anyway.  So I washed it, and sure enough it streaked.  She got mad and made me wash it again, and it streaked again.  She yelled at me and made me wash it over and over and over for five whole hours until finally the sun had moved and it stopped streaking.  I vowed then that I would never wash a window again!

Since then I have washed a few windows on occasion, but not as often as most “good” housekeepers do.  I just hate doing them!  I usually only do them if I am expecting some kind of special company that might “judge me” on my cleaning (or lack thereof.)  Other than that, they could go for years and years and years without being cleaned!

I want a new bathtub

I have always enjoyed a nice long soak in a deep water spa tub.  Whenever I go on a trip, I try to find a place that has a spa bathtub for me to relax in.

As I am approaching the senior citizen years, I have been looking around at my house and considering how I can renovate it to accommodate an aging couple.  I’m thinking about installing hand rails beside the commode, and installing a walkin bathtub.

So, I have been doing a little bit of Internet research on walkin baths.  So far, I found my favorite tub at www.remainactive.com.  My favorite is the Hydro-Elite Encore tub.  The Encore has adjustable water jets, injected air jets, and an inline heater.

I tried dying my hair once

I have been under a lot of “encouragement” from friends and family to dye my hair, so I will look younger.  I am getting pretty gray, that’s for sure!

I tried dying my hair once, back around ten years ago.  It was a total disaster!  I made a HUGE mess, ruined several towels AND the shower curtain, and the dye didn’t even cover the gray hair at all!  So I decided that I would not try it again, I considered that a lesson learned that I was wasting my time, money, and energy on trying to look younger than I am.

So, color me gray!  LOLOL!

Social work for my niece????

I have a niece who has always been interested in helping people.  She has great empathy for the underprivileged, the neglected, the abused, and the ill.  Her favorite courses in school have always been related to sociology and psychology.

She has been taking courses in college, going for a degree in psychology.  She thinks that she wants to become involved in social work and become a social worker when she gets out of college.  She wants to “save the world” and help make sure that children are cared for and protected from all of the dangers that they can face from neglectful and abusive parents.

I’m going to suggest that she buy the social worker exam guide from www.socialworkguide.com/ to help her study for the exam she needs to take to become a licensed social worker.
