Bathing beauties

I was surprised by how many pictures there were of my sisters and I enjoying ourselves boating and water skiing and sunning ourselves on the beach or on the dock wearing cute (but modest) bikinis.  It brought a harsh reminder to me that it is time to start looking to buy a new bathing suit for the upcoming summer!

Recently my body has undergone some major changes (I sure do wish these changes had come about 30 years ago when I could have USED some of these changes to my advantage!)  To put it bluntly, I need to buy some Full Busted Swimwear this year.  I plan to buy my swimwear from www.biggerbras.com.  They have a really great selection of swimwear, and they will let me mix and match the tops and bottoms, which most merchants will NOT let me do.

Looking through family photos – a shout out!

I was looking through family photos this past weekend, and feeling very blessed for having two wonderful sisters – this is a shout-out!  I love you my wonderful loving, generous, empathetic sisters!  I don’t know what I would do without you, you are the best!

Going back to karate classes

We’ve been talking about signing up for karate classes again.  It has been a few years since we took them and to be perfectly honest, we’ve probably forgotten an awful lot of it!  Every time we turn on the television we hear more horror stories about people being assaulted, robbed, raped, and killed.  Learning some karate for self defense really is a good idea.

We were looking around for our old karate uniforms and realized that we have no idea where they are!  So, we are going to need to buy some new ones.  I’ll be ordering them from the online store at www.awma.com as soon as we figure out which karate academy offers classes that we can afford AND fit into our busy schedules!

Karate classes

My kids and I used to take karate classes a few years ago.  We stopped taking them because the dojo was closed for renovations for a while, and we just got “out of the habit” and lazy.  We had filled that time slot with a different activity – relaxing – and to be honest, we were enjoying relaxing!  Life sure does get hectic, doesn’t it!?

But the whole reasons we were taking karate classes was to learn self defense.  This is a challenging world we live in, and learning self defense is important.
