A dream vacation

When I was just sixteen, my parents bought me a motorcycle. I loved riding that bike! I found a Motorcycle Tours company called Eagle Rider that rents Harley Davidson motorcycles for dream vacation trips! I’d love to rent a Harley on a vacation and be an Eagle Rider for a few days! According to their website they also rent ATVs, dirt bikes, watercraft, snowmobiles, and scooters. I’ve bookmarked the site for future reference when planning my next vacation!

I was reading on the Time.com website that the International Olympic Committee is upholding a ban agains Iraq participating in the Olympics. I didn’t realize that there was a ban in the first place, so I was surprised and interested enough to keep reading. The story was talking about how the government was interfering too much with the country’s Olympic Committee, and how their Olympic Committee was disbanded last May. And then it was talking about how four of the Committee members, including the chief had been kidnapped two years ago and are still missing! Good Grief!

It’s really too bad, but certainly understandable!

Sandy, my girlfriend who lives in New York just sent me an email, telling me that her hubby has arranged to give her a personal trainer in New York to come to their apartment and give her private Pilates lessons! She said that starting next week, she will be having her very own private lessons twice a week, each lesson will last sixty minutes. This is something she has been begging her hubby to give her as an anniversary gift for the past three years, and finally she got it! The trainer will bring all the equipment that they need, the mat, the ball, the ring, the tubing, everything! I hope she enjoys the lessons!

My nephew sent me the link to a website, www.ecogeekliving.com, telling me that he thinks that I would really be interested in the shake flashlight that they sell from the site. He was right! The flashlight is an LED light that you shake for one minute, and then you get thirty minutes of light from the light. I saw the flashlight in the “O” magazine a little while ago, and thought it was a really cool concept. It has three white LED lights in the flashlight, and you can control how many lights are on; only one, two, or all three.

I love a good rodeo

Several months ago my parents bought a two-week vacation package going to Las Vegas this coming December. They just called me and told me that they just found out that they are not going to be able to go on the vacation and have asked me if we want to go in their place. They claim that everything is transferable into our names if we want to go. They said that we could consider that our Christmas present for the year, so I’m actually thinking about going. I’ve never been to Las Vegas!

I was looking at the schedule of events that is happening in Las Vegas during that time period and found that the National Rodeo Finals will be going on during that period. It has been several years since I’ve been able to go to any rodeo, and I sure would love to go see the Finals! I love the barrel racing competition the best of the different rodeo competitions.

I’ve found a website were I can buy Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets. I’d really like to try to get some tickets, I’ve been looking at the seating chart of the stadium on the Internet, and I’m not quite sure where I want to sit!

Addictsports.com is an Internet sports forum dedicated to people who love sports. This is a great place to go if your greatest entertainment enjoyment is based on sports! My son tells me that when the baseball pool at work starts, this is where we need to go to get the baseball picks.

The folks at work like to run gambling pools. Whatever the sport of the season is, they run a pool. Everyone chips in a dollar and fills out a chart. The winner of the pool wins all of the money. I was complaining to my son that I have no idea at all how to fill out any of the charts, I don’t know the first thing about any of the sports (except for hockey!)

My son told me to check out the addictsports.com website forum. He said that I should be able to get the football picks for the upcoming fall season.

My sons are serious sports nuts! Every time I turn around, they are watching some kind of sport on television, or reading the sports page of the paper, or browsing the Internet for something sports related. My oldest son has joined an Internet forum at www.addictsports.com about sports picks; he says you can use it to get the best nfl picks. He says he can use that to help him in the football pool at work!
